Ruth B. Fisher Scholarship
History and Purpose
Ruth B. Fisher was a Bradford native and very active Zonta Club member for 23 years. Upon her death in 1978, she named the Zonta Club Bradford as beneficiary of her estate and, with her generous bequest, Zonta Club leaders established this scholarship in her memory.
The Zonta Club Bradford administers its own independent scholarship program in memory of Zonta member Ruth B. Fisher. In keeping with the mission of Zonta International, which empowers women through service and advocacy, the goal is to provide financial assistance by awarding a scholarship to qualified women seeking promising career opportunities.
